ProKart Challenge Nor Cal 2010 Championship Series Round 2

Round 2 of the ProKart
Challenge Nor Cal 6-event kart racing series will be held
NEXT Saturday, Mar. 13th, at the Jim Russell Int'l Karting
Center at Infineon Raceway in Sonoma, CA. A practice day
will be held on Friday, Mar. 12th, from 9am to 5pm, with a
complimentary BBQ dinner directly following. THIS RACE WILL
BE A GREAT PRE-CURSOR TO THE PROTOUR SPRING NATIONALS NEXT

can pre-enter the event as well as purchase/renew your SKUSA
membership, apply for your new racing license, purchase spec
tires/fuel/oil, rent a transponder, order spectator pit
passes, and more!
Event Entry: Pre-Entry Cut-off for this event is
midnight this Wednesday, Mar. 10th. Enter before the cutoff
and save $35 on your entry fees -- PLUS save yourself from
standing in long lines at registration when you could be
prepping your kart! Enter the event and purchase everything
else you need thru the online shopping kart with a credit
card or call 951-491-0808. You can also download, fill out
and fax your entry/order to 951-491-0809, or mail it in with
a check. NOTE: If you do not receive an email confirmation
of your entry within 24 hours of submitting it, please call
the PKC office: 951-491-0808.
PKC Classes to be run at this event, including our
restructured Stock Honda program, are: S1, S2, S3, S4, S5,
HVP-2 Jr, TaG Junior, TaG Senior, and TaG Master. Click

Practice Day: Gates and Registration open on Friday,
March 12th, at 7:00am. Fuel and tire desks will be open
starting at 7:30am. Track is open from 9am - 5pm for OPEN
practice ($60/driver -- No SKUSA membership required to
practice). Friday night dinner: We are offering a
complimentary BBQ dinner at the track directly following
practice (for all who have paid for practice or a pit pass
for the day). Bring your own drinks!
Race Day: Gates and Registration open on Saturday,
March 13th at 6:30am, with tire and fuel desks open 7am -
noon. Track is hot 8am 'til approx. 4:30pm, with podium
awards and a raffle drawing immediately following the final
tech inspection. Click

and Saturday morning.
Track Configuration: The practice and race day for
this event will be run in the National track layout.
Championship Points: This year's PKC Nor Cal
championship is based on 6 races, including a North vs.
South Shootout, with NO drops! Click

Air Boxes & Mufflers: Air boxes are required for all
moto engines -- up to three (3) 29mm +- 1 mm tubes. All moto
motors must also have a 14-inch RLV or M4 muffler.
SKUSA Membership: ProKart Challenge requires all
racers to have a current SKUSA membership with their first
race of the season. SKUSA also has new license levels that
all drivers must register for. Purchase or renew your SKUSA
membership thru the PKC online store, download and fax in
your form, or sign up at the Registration desk on Friday or
Saturday morning. Cost is $75/year, offers many great
benefits, and is good for a full 12 months from date of
purchase.
Race Numbers and Colored Number Panels: With your
SKUSA membership, you will be assigned a race number (with a
letter designating your region) that must appear on all 4
sides of your kart for all competition sessions -- for the
season. PKC is also mandating specific number plate color
combinations by class, starting with your first race of the

Overnight Camping & Trailer Parking: Is available at
no charge, but will be available Friday night only, unless
you have made special arrangements with the track (i.e.,
staying Saturday night for Sunday practice). Pit spots will
be assigned by the Paddock Marshal. Some up front spots may
be reserved for large teams, kart shops or sponsors by
calling PKC at 951-491-0808 prior to Wednesday, March 10th.

Live & Post-Race Event Coverage: Rob Howden from EKN
will be on site for this event, announcing the live on-track
action over the PA system. We will also be broadcasting the
MyLaps Monitor AND micro-blogging the sessions as racers
come off the track. After the event, a media release with
this event's highlights will be distributed to the major
karting publications, giving everyone the chance to become a
local hero to their family and friends.
