New Changes from IKF Meeting
|
The IKF board of Directors met in Ontario CA this past weekend for the annual rules meeting. New changes consist of the use of an external starter for all TAG engines. The existing starter supplied with the engine must work in pre-tech, however if the starter motor or ignition box fails during the event, the competitor must use an external hand held starter to start the engine on the grid without penalty. All led bolted to the kart must be white in color. This is a rule and karts will not be allowed on the track at an IKF sanctioned event. The last rule is rear wheel hubs no longer need to have a set screw safety. Further details such as future national locations to be decided at another IKF meeting held in Texas in April. |
