This Weeks New Updates on Norcal Karters

This week we have a few good updates on Norcal Karters, our podcast, and our YouTube Page.

The Norcal Karters Calender, www.norcalkarters.com/calendar, has been updated. At this time, I am only showing sponsored (paid for) clubs or promoters, and National Level events. At the beginning of the year, I listed all clubs and promoters that had an event in Northern California, It is very time consuming. Due to the COVID impact on karting and our race schedules, I made the decision to reach out to our sponsors to make sure they were up to date. I have not reached out to non-supporters of the NorcalKarters website.

If your series has a fixed schedule for the remainder of 2020, please contact me so we can put you back on our calendar. I had to make this decision because the calendar had too many “ghost” events and I need the calendar to be accurate for our racers.

Also this week, I did another podcast with upcoming events – https://www.spreaker.com/show/norcal-and-beyond-karting-scene

I added a few videos to our YouTube page. 1 is a blatant sells attempt for a cheap solvent tank option that is portable and efficient. Any funds raised from the sale of the baskets or the kit go directly back to https://www.paypal.com/paypalme/norcalkarters.

The second video is my long winded explanation of how to properly use Safety Wire Pliers and the proper way to use the safety wire.

For the next few weeks, I plan on doing another weekly update on our podcast Monday July 27. I’m also working on a few guests for next week and you will want to bookmark my new podcast show – https://www.spreaker.com/show/kart-race-reports-a-pr-podcast

For now, this is all. Have a great week.

Norcal Karter Recent Site Updates

First off, thank you for your support and feedback for the website. If Norcal Karters becomes stale, please let us know.

We have some good news to share regarding our calendar and a few enhanced listings.

http://www.challengekarting.com/ – The West Coast Rok Cup USA Winter series was the first organizer to sign up for enhanced listings for our calendar.

So, who cares?

What does this mean?

It means, you can easily navigate from the norcalkarters.com/calendar directly to race event information for CotA / Challenge Karting. This is important because an underlying goal of Norcal Karters is to make events more accessible and help bring karting out of the dark age of technology and communication.

https://www.nnkcreno.com/ has been the second organization to see value in the enhanced listings. If you haven’t done so, go check out there site. It is well organized and they did a great job of including registration information directly into their events calendar.

And the https://nckroadracing.com/, club has signed up to be the third enhanced listing from our calendar. We are currently working on bringing their schedules and events live to the calendar with enhanced listings.

Also on the calendar, you can sort by your favorite club or series.

Another new feature that is new on NorcalKarters.com is the tracks page with an added pin drop map of all local kart tracks. http://www.norcalkarters.com/tracks/ . We know we need to work on updating some of the clubs and information, but we are chiseling away at it.

And to wrap up this update, we have seen incredible growth of the podcast series that we started last year. I enjoy doing the weekly updates as well as having special guests on. It has been a huge learning experience and I’m really enjoy this aspect of NorcalKarters. You can check out the latest episode on our podcast page – http://www.norcalkarters.com/podcast/

Again, Thank you for the support
