If it is highly competitive kart racing you are looking for, the karting racing offered at Infineon Raceway is possibly the best kart racing in the country. The Jim Russell Racing Schools offers two race kart racing series that includes classes for drivers from 8 years old to over 60 years old, in both clutch and shifter type karts. Both the Jim Russell 2-day Series and the Jim Russell-TaG Saturday Series are operated and race directed by Ric Shaw and his Sierra Race Promotions (SRP) organization. Ric is well know for running a well organized, safe and very competitive series that appeals to young drivers who are trying to develop towards a career as a race car driver as well as drivers who are just looking for a fun day of fun racing.

The Jim Russell 2-day Series features 8 clutch kart classes and the Jim Russell Senior Arrive-and-Drive class on the Saturday program and 8 shifter kart classes on the Sunday program. The Jim Russell-TaG Saturday Series features all touch-and-go clutch kart classes as well as the Jim Russell Cadet and Junior Arrive-and-Drive classes.
